AL Farooqe Masjid

Description

There is nothing like a minaret to indicate an Islamic edifice, and that’s what we focused on to present in the design of this mosque to be a milestone, lighthouse in the Islamic center and a gate to enter a group of multi activities, because of the small and limited location of the center that hide a vast area of land in the behind.

The minarets are designed by combining the form and function through the historic integration of these minarets and the divisions and functional areas that appeared through the historic itemized, the characteristics and the modern style of the center.

The mosque has an internal vacuum with surrounding corridors, open to the sky, inspired by the Andalusian mosque, and covered with umbrellas tied to the minarets that used in addition to the function of being umbrellas protecting from the sunlight, to appear from afar like a holder to the Holy Quran, reflecting the function and purpose of the center.
