Snøhetta victory came after fierce competition with eight engineering offices from around the world. The identity of the building were the focus of competition. «Snohata project» came under three angles: the next-generation identity, interaction with the public and the individual and contribute to the community

In 2015, the Lebanese French Bank has launched an international competition in architecture, for the construction of its headquarters at the northern entrance of Beirut in Mar Mikhael area.

Competition were not a race between the contractors on the construction of built spaces, but was competition between engineering offices to provide the approach within the pre-defined criteria. Outline drawn by the Lebanese French bank was not linked to the cost of construction and prices, but the identity of the semen of the building created. Required to provide an environmental approach that believes in public spaces contribute to the social environment for the growth of Mar Mikhael. The building should enhance the interaction and productivity of the staff, and not reflect the most common goal between banks, ie profitability, but should reflect the bank's record in environmental and youth initiatives and the future of the city's social initiatives
